Cook Sr., age 71, of Lassellsville, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at his residence with his loving family by his side.He was born on Sept. 1, 1946, a son of the late Frank and Catherine Gray Cook.Bert attended Fort Plain Schools. He worked as a Butcher for 37 years until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Jane (Yost) Cook; three children Bert Cook, Jr. (Holly) of Little Falls, Tammy Cook of St. Johnsville and Scott Cook (Renee) of Mohawk; nine grandchildren Bert Cook, III of Fort Plain, Kassidy Cook (Jason) of St. Johnsville, Katrina Cook (Tom) of Newport, Brian Hudson, Jr. of Little Falls, James Hudson of St. Johnsville, Wes Cook, Jr. (Trish) of St. Johnsville, Corey Cook (Jen) of Little Falls, Ryan Cook of St. Johnsville and LeAnn Cook of Fort Plain; eight great-grandchildren Alanaha Hudson, Dylan Baslow, Carson Baslow, Owen Baslow, Chloe Cook, Aleigha Cook, Sofia Cook and Wyatt Cook; five siblings Pat Clewis (James) of Syracuse, Richard Cook (Becky) of St. Johnsville, Raymond Cook (Rose) of Syracuse, Ronnie Cook (Betty) of Gloversville and Barbara Frenyea of Fort Plain; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, Bert was predeceased by one son Wesley Cook Sr. There will be no calling hours.A celebration of life service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club, 697 Peckville Road, Dolgeville, New York 13329.Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G.
